Yes

2. Was it possible to move without making a sound?

No, even when standing still it is hard to remain completely silent.

3. What happened when you plugged your ears, and then unplugged them?

The sounds around me at first seemed to be a bit softer. Besides that i didn't notice many other differences.

4. What types of sounds were you able to hear? List them.

See picture of notes below.

5. Were you able to differentiate between sounds that had a recognizable source and those sounds you could not place?

I could hear some humming sounds around me where I was not quite sure where it was coming from. Also I would hear echoes where I wasn't sure of the direction the sound was coming from.

Yes, I was familiar with the different sound types and it was not too hard to differentiate.

7. Were you able to detect subtleties, changes, or variations in the
everpresent drone?

Depending on the location the hum would be softer or louder. They were also always in different tones. At times I also could not tell where the sound was actually coming from.

The extremely close sounds are much easier to notice, when sounds from far away often go unnoticed.

9. Were you able to intervene in the urban landscape and create your own sounds by knocking on a resonant piece of metal, activating wind chimes, etc.?

Besides hearing myself walking I don't believe I made any major interactions with my surroundings.

10. Do you feel you have a new understanding or appreciation of the sounds of our contemporary landscape/cityscape?

Yes, I now will stop and listen to the everyday sounds that I would commonly let pass by me.

11. How do you think your soundwalk experience will affect your practice as a media artist, if at all?

It helps me think about different audio tracks that I can use for my videos, possibly just as background sounds. It opened up a lot of new ideas for me however by thinking about the audio.
